Makuuchi Entrance Ceremony
The makuuchi enter as two groups, one from the East and one from the West. The two groups will fight each other during the tournament. Each makuuchi is wearing a ceremonial garment that is given to him when he becomes ranked as one of the makuuchi. The makuuchi are the top-ranked division of sumo wrestlers. Some of these garments have real diamonds sown into them and can be worth 2 million yen!
Pocari sweat -sports drink from japan
05/03/1020 – a friend of mine brought this bottle back from Japan for me to laugh at (thanks AD!). It’s a Japanese sports drink, that he said actually is quite tasty.
The name, however, makes me wonder what is a Pocari (is it an animal?) and why are we to drink it’s sweat? EWW. Drinking some beast’s sweat!!!
